MURRAY, KY (KFVS) - The Health Express will host a free lipid screening at Wal-Mart in Murray on Tuesday, July 26 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The screenings are offered to find disease in its earliest stages when there are often no symptoms.

The Murray-Calloway County Hospital says cholesterol and triglyceride levels should be checked every five years in most cases. More frequent testing would require a doctor's written prescription and cost $15. Annual screenings are recommended for diabetes patients.

The screening does require a 12-hour fast, which means no food or drink except water. Participants are encouraged to drink lots of water for hydration before the screenings.

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The Graves County Sheriff's Office announced Friday that officers arrested three people on burglary charges.

Officers arrested:

Donna Tynes, 24 of Tri-City and charged her with facilitation to commit burglary in the second degree and falsely reporting an accident.

Nathan Harrison, 24 of Murray, was charged with burglary in the second degree.

James Joy, 32 of Mayfield, was charged with burglary in the second degree and tampering with physical evidence.

According to Sheriff Dewayne Redmon, at 4 a.m. on Friday officers were sent to a home on KY 339 West, just east of Wingo for a burglary in the process.

The officers said when they arrived the homeowner told him that a male had tried to break into his home and ran away when he was confronted.

The homeowner said he chased the car and was able to stop it on KY 1748 near the KY 339 intersection.

MURRAY, KY (KFVS) - The NAMI support group for families and friend of those suffering from mental illness will meet on Thursday, July 21.

The group will meet at MCCH Educational Services Building at 6:30 p.m.
