MSU students to participate in "Turn of the Century Social" | Arts & Culture

MURRAY, KY (KFVS) - Students from Murray State University's Outdoor Recreation Department will be participating in "Turn of the Century Social" on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Students from the REC 302 will help promote the event, while students from REC 465 will interpret the historical buildings and areas of Murray-Calloway County Park.
“The annual event is community wide and celebrates times-gone-by (late 1800s to early 1900s). It will take place in MCC Central Park. MSU students dressed in period costumes will conduct reenactments at the old schoolhouse, courthouse, and train depot (Playhouse in the Park).
There will also be food, storytelling and many other period-related interactive activities such as candle making and kettle corn cooking.
