PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - An electricity provider has been honored with the Governor’s Safety and Health Award. The honor recognizes Jackson Purchase Energy's Corporation's 280,323 hours without a lost-time accident or illness.
“This is a significant honor, not only for JPEC, but for all the employees who made this possible by making safety a top priority every day,” said Kentucky Labor Cabinet Secretary Larry Roberts. “This is a result of nearly two years without a lost-time incident, and that requires a long-lasting dedication to safety, which is why the Governor’s Safety and Health Award is a special accomplishment.”
The member-owned cooperative provides electricity to more than 30,000 accounts in portions of six counties, including Ballard, Carlisle, Graves, Livingston, Marshall and McCracken.
