2 arrested in meth lab investigation on Murray hospital property | Crime
MURRAY, KY (KFVS) - The Murray Police Department have arrested two in connection with a meth lab investigation.
Police say two officers were conducting a security check at an unoccupied house owned by Murray Calloway County Hospital when they discovered two people and a suspected Methamphetamine lab inside.
At approximately 6:30 a.m., the two officers discovered Thomas Broshears, 27, and Sheena Goodwin, 30, both of Murray, inside a closet in the building. Also in the closet, they officers say there were items commonly used in the making of Methamphetamine.
According to police, elsewhere in the house an active Meth lab was found. They say the building was evacuated, and an officer from the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force responded and safely removed the active lab.
Broshears is charged with second degree burglary and was served with two prior warrants for failure to appear and parole violation. Goodwin was charged with second degree burglary and first degree manufacturing methamphetamine.
Both were taken to the Calloway County Jail.
