(KFVS)- Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is reporting that Ky. roads are mostly just wet currently, but the concern is that conditions could change quickly.
KYTC in Paducah reports road temperatures are above freezing but trucks are treating roadways for potential trouble spots.
Other Ky. counties are continuing to patrol for slick spots and preparing to treat them.
According to Keith Todd with KYTC, counties in eastern Ky. have reported bands of freezing rain and drizzle overnight.
Road surfaces are said to have been kept mostly clear due to pre-treating efforts, but the KYTC Snow and Ice Response Team is concerned that as the weather event develops, road conditions can become dangerous very quickly.
Drivers are urged to use caution and monitor road surface conditions.
