(KFVS)- Mowing crews will be working near highways in Kentucky, so drivers are asked to be on alert.
Crews are expected to start work on Interstate 24 this week, starting at the Ohio River Bridge near the Kentucky-Illinois state line and working toward the Kentucky-Tennessee state line near the 93 mile marker.
The crews will also be working along the Purchase Parkway in the next two weeks.
State mowing crews will be working along rural secondary highways and U.S. highways in Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Crittenden, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken and Trigg counties.
Rain may delay mowing.
Drivers are asked to use caution in mowing zones because mowers have to maneuver their tractors and mowers across lanes from time to time.
