Murray State Racer players, cheerleaders visit Sedalia Elementary
GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Nationally-ranked and undefeated Murray State Racer basketball players Isaiah Canaan and Jewuan Long joined a half-dozen MSU cheerleaders in a visit to Sedalia Elementary School on Jan. 26.
MSU cheerleaders, former national champion Graves County High School cheerleaders, and Sedalia alumni Heath Howard, Travis Whitlow, and Chelsea Chandler led the group to the southeastern Graves County school for Murray State Day in honor of the Racers’ 20-0 record.
Sedalia students and teachers donned blue and gold and waved signs at a morning assembly in the gym. The players shot a few baskets and the cheerleaders led a few cheers. Their main purpose was to encourage the students to work hard, be positive, and learn.
