CCHS head football coach to resign

CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Calloway County High School head football coach Josh McKeel recently submitted his resignation to principal Brian Wilmurth after seven years with the program.

On his weekly cable television program, McKeel explained that it was time for someone else to lead the football team and time for him to “be a daddy” to his two daughters.

“Coach McKeel has made many valuable contributions to the Laker Football program and positively influenced the lives of those he coached and worked with," said Superintendent Kennith Bargo. "We regretfully accept his decision to step aside as our Head Football Coach.”

The school district says McKeel will remain as Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Calloway County High School.
